The Methodology

The Foildock Safe Recycling Cycle

The Foildock Team has developed a working process that allows for a full cycle approach, intended to establish a continuous improvement of the operation over the years. Our process, encompassing 320m x 60m dock positioning and high-capacity SPMT transport, encourages our workforce to identify and become passionate about establishing a safe work environment for all. As nobody comes to work to be harmed!

1

Dock Positioning

Vessel positioning in the 320m x 60m dock using winches and support structures.

2

Minimal Pumping

Efficient water removal to create a dry environment for shore transfer.

3

Bow-Stern Sectioning

Cutting the hull into 20m segments starting from the bow for rapid processing.

4

SPMT Transport

800-1500 ton segments moved via SPMT across a 6% incline to yard floor.

5

Structural Flattening

Flattening segments for safer internal access and efficient secondary cutting.

6

Precision Sorting

Organization of scrap by grade, quality, and shape for mill readiness.

7

Hazardous Disposal

Full cycle recycling and proper disposal of all non-steel hazardous waste.

8

Mill Logistics

Transport by barge or rail to manufacturers for high-grade steel smelting.

9

100% Recycled

Completion of the zero-pollution cycle with certifiable industrial outcomes.

A Commitment to Zero-Harm

Our refined methodology is more than just an industrial process; it is a safety mandate. By sectioning vessels into 20m blocks within a stable dry-dock environment and using differential stabilization SPMTs, we remove workers from the dangerous tidal zones associated with traditional beaching.

  • 100% Residue Capture Guaranteed
  • Structural Flattening for Internal Access
  • SPMT Transport of 1,500 Ton Sections
  • Certified Green Steel Output for Manufacturers
